Welcome to Precise Dry Ice, a division of Billings Media Blasting, dedicated to dry ice detailing. 2022 was a year of growth and fine tuning of our dry ice blasting booth. We had been operating our dry ice detailing business out of this bay for a couple years prior. With the growing interest and more customers getting their cars dry ice detailed, it was time to make improvements.
Our facility needed a facelift: We had areas where we would get jammed up and would not be able to help our customers with some of their needs in a timely fashion.
Cosmetically, it was time for our dry ice bay to get a facelift. A permanent wall was erected, and dust collection installed. The walls and ceilings got painted. The floor received an epoxy coating and installation of new lighting brought everything together to make the appearance of our shop match the level of our experience and equipment.
We also saw a need to improve how we could serve our future customers. Dry ice detailing is not a straight forward service. Every car is different as well as what the customers’ expectations of what their “clean” needs to be. Therefore, we needed to be able to evaluate and meet with the customer prior to
scheduling their blasting to understand exactly what their expectations were. With only a single two-post lift, we weren’t able to provide evaluations in a timely fashion.
A solution for this was necessary, so we installed a two-car drive on lift. This gives us the ability to have a customer visit our shop for an evaluation while still being able to work on another customer’s car. This also gave us the ability to store more cars and maneuver them with ease. We are ready for 2023, well equipped to take on more evaluations and detailing appointments.
